What are peer reviewed articles?

Answer

Most scholarly articles are "peer reviewed" or "refereed" by multiple experts in the same or related field before being accepted for publication in an academic journal. The peer review process will sometimes require multiple revisions of the article prior to publication.

You can limit your search results to only "peer reviewed" or "scholarly" articles:

OneSearch, as well as many of the library's subject-focused subscription databases, will allow you to limit your results to only "peer reviewed" or "scholarly" articles. For example, in OneSearch you can use the "Tweak your results" filters to limit your results list to only items from "Peer-reviewed Journals." This will exclude articles from popular magazines, newspapers, news wires, books, etc.
