How do I find peer reviewed articles?

Answer

OneSearch (and many of the library's subject-focused subscription databases) will allow you to filter your results to only "peer reviewed" or "scholarly" articles. For example, in OneSearch you can use the "Tweak your results" filters to limit your results list to only items from "Peer-reviewed Journals." This will exclude articles from popular magazines, newspapers, news wires, books, etc.

What is a peer reviewed article?

Most scholarly articles are "peer reviewed" or "refereed" by multiple experts in the same or related field before being accepted for publication in an academic journal. The peer review process will sometimes require multiple revisions of the article prior to publication.
